„Ausgepackt“ is a nationwide competition initiated by the youth online magazine www.LizzyNet.de and the Wissenschaftsladen Bonn e.V. targeting teenagers and young adults between 12 and 23 years.

The competition is searching for creative ideas for new types of unpackaged solutions, reusable systems, packaging made from renewable resources and convincing no-waste messages that draw attention to the subject of packaging waste and help reduce packaging consumption – for the environment and climate.

Idea sketches can be submitted in three categories on a participation form that is available for download on LizzyNet. The closing date for entries is 5 May 2021.

PlastX research group leader Johanna Kramm will be deciding with Winfried Batzke (German Packaging Institute), Tobias Bielenstein (Working Group Reusable Packaging), Bernd Draser (ecosign – Academy of Design), Carina Frings (Co-Founder Udo-Duo Coffee) and Prof. Dr. Annette Scheersoi (Didactics of Biology, University of Bonn) on the most promising and creative entries.

The winners can expect sustainable material prizes worth a total of 2,000 euros as well as an invitation to the final event in Cologne in autumn 2021.

Selected contributions to the competition will be published at www.lizzynet.de.
